Embracing Autumn
There’s something about autumn that feels both grounding and fleeting. The air turns crisp, the light softens, and the forests shift into their golden hues. Every walk outside feels like stepping into a painting.
Autumn is where change becomes beautiful.
This season inspires me in so many ways. It’s one of my favorite times to create portraits—when people naturally step outside, wrap up in scarves, and let the soft light do half the work. There’s a warmth to these images, even on the coolest days.
But autumn also calls me back to the landscapes and wildlife that first made me fall in love with photography. The valleys in Squamish glow with color, the rivers mirror the skies, . These moments don’t last, but that’s what makes them worth holding onto.
Photography, for me, is connection—to people, to nature, to the fleeting beauty of now.
This year, I’ve also gathered some of these images into my fine art collection—prints of mountain valleys, eagles, and wild light that bring the spirit of autumn indoors. It’s another way to carry these fleeting moments with you, long after the leaves have fallen.
